WARP RECORDS | WARPNEWS - Made in Sheffield

Monday 26th April sees the release of "Made in Sheffield", a definitive document of what many would call the Golden Age of Sheffield music - 1977-1982, a period that saw Cabaret Voltaire become a major force in British industrial post-punk, and the emergence of world-conquering bands like The Human League, ABC, Heaven 17 and later, Pulp. And of course, much of the music and artists from this era heavily influenced the formation of Warp, its earliest output, and the general aesthetic of the label and design by Sheffield contemporaries like The Designers Republic.
