The film was commissioned by Anthony d'Offay for his gallery, where it debuted 15 September 2000 and was part of a month-long exhibition with sculptor Ron Mueck. Its main run was at the Royal Academy of Arts' Apocalypse: Beauty and Horror in Contemporary Art exhibition, which ran from 23 September to 15 December, 2000.
