... ? TotalVideoGames.com | Previews | UnityI can't quite think of any artist as tripped out as the stuff in Unity but the abstract space, crazy colours and music stuff has shades of Kandindsky, Dali and Picasso. In terms of playing with perspective, movement, shapes, colour and sound these are things that those guys and others played with. Those dudes would have loved to get their hands on this sort of technology I'm sure. Their contemporary cultural equivalents today, artists like Coldcut – they did the boss music in Rez on Level 5 - and DJ Shadow, use cool interactive visual stuff that goes in time with music in their live shows and recorded stuff. Unity puts some real cutting edge technology and gives it to us, rather than limiting it to people who can actually make these things for themselves.
